Phillip’s background is in interior design, but he has been creating and selling art in the UK and all over the world for quite some time now, and has had the opportunity to exhibit in numerous galleries.

His inspiration comes from all things beautiful and his passion for travel, which takes him all over the world, exposing him to new and challenging ways of life. Exploring the world helps spark new ideas and provides him with a real opportunity to express himself through his work.

He like’s having the freedom to play around with various colour palettes, to create something that is unique, individual and sometimes quirky, while attempting to achieve a different outlook within each piece.

For him, the journey of creation is just as important as arriving at the finished conclusion. 

 

His work and process are organic, and will vary greatly in terms of style and technique. He loves to experiment with various mediums and discover as he creates. Phillip finds this can be very challenging sometimes as his work space is rather small, but he still calls it his studio! 

Phillips recent pen and ink originals are created on a collage of letters, receipts and school reports from the past, some going back to the 1800s.
