Although classically trained, Sleek began on the streets in Scotland with location installations but is now known for his original artwork.
He found his ‘voice’ through connecting street art with pop art to create a fresh new fusion genre – urban art. He has arrived onto the contemporary art scene with a degree of anonymity and a vibrant and iconic style.
His original artworks bring graffiti and street art indoors with iconic well known characters on dynamic backgrounds and layers of graffiti tags.
These are created on boards that are distressed to give the appearance of having been ripped off the street to then be hung in the comfort of your own home. They are also coated with resin to give a high gloss finish; catching the light and making the vibrant colours even more eye catching.
